Hands-on Work-Experience Process : First of all, we will assess your capabilities and, accordingly help you select one of the three following streams of working : a). Linux building and Administration; This consists of Linux building from scratch, Linux installation (simple to advanced type), Servers and Services on Linux : Installation, Configuring, management, Monitoring (This consists of various servers like Web-Apache, Mail, RDBMS, Firewall, Proxy, Samba, Ldap, Anti-virus, etc.), Working on Clusters, and various other tools that are necessary for exposure as a Linux Administrator in corporate environment. b). Application Development (GUI Client-server applications like Kalculate); GUI applications on Linux are developed using tools like C, PostgreSQL, GTK, Glade, GlibC (Gnu-Tools, Autotools, Make, Toolchain). c). Web-based Application development; GUI Web-based applications are created using tools like HTML, DHTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Ajax, XML etc. You will then be given orientation to grasp the basics of the tools of your selected stream and you will work on actual Software-products/projects to learn all this and master the technologies. This orientation/working will last for a total period of six months. Each person will have his/her separate computer, on LAN and Internet connectivity, for the working. Remember, you will be working in a live environment, on actual live software-products and projects. Books in the in-house library will be available for any references apart from online materials. You will be working full time (9 to 6) from Monday to Friday (sat will be off, but the Lab will be open to complete any work/experiment) under the guidance of the Project leaders. There is no faculty at our place and no class-room teaching, as we are not a training institute. In the 4th month, you will undergo a test and the result of that will decide the stipend for the period after that. At the end of 6 months of working, you will undergo a selection test for absorption in our company. The starting salary package for selected candidates will be Rs.84,000/- per year. At this time, you will also have the option of applying to any company and the experience certificate of 6 months of working will prove to be handy in getting jobs. You will be required to maintain 90% attendance. You will be paying a sum of Rs. 70,000/- in 3 installments (or Rs. 60,000/- in single installment) + service tax for providing you this Unique Opportunity.
